I have always held a certain fascination with things relating to the ancient warrior class, and with the tools of their trade.

My desire is to construct shields  that will cause the bearer to feel like he or she is wielding a serious weapon, and perhaps at the same time, feel some connection with our warrior ancestors, whose lives literally depended upon these implements of war.
